Help Rifftrax Riff Godzilla 1998 Live in Theaters
May 20th, 2014We all agree that the 1998 version of Godzilla starring Matthew Broderick is just terrible (check out the Honest Trailer or the Everything Wrong With episode, if you need a reminder). Now the team who perhaps is the best in the business at punching holes in plot lines, the alumni from Mystery Science Theater 3000 and the current members of Rifftrax want to take a stab at this bloated target.
Mike Nelson, Kevin Murphy, and Bill Corbett have launched a Kickstarter campaign to obtain the rights to the 1998 Roland Emmerich disaster (of a) film. They’ve already surpassed their $100,000 goal, but with the Kickstarter campaign running until June 11, 2014, you can be part of it. A pledge of just $25 gets you the MP3 audio version of the Godzilla Rifftrax episode along with Rifftrax Shorts and other goodies); if you pledge $90 you’ll be invited to the planning session which you can watch live online. If you want to really do it big, pledge $1,500 and by a VIP guest at the show in Nashville (get yourself there).
