That Time Leonard Nimoy Starred in a Music Video

by Kenny Hoeschen

The Bangles is an all-girl pop band that had a few catchy songs on the charts back in the 80s and are still touring today. In fact, Susanna Hoffs recently sat in with Fred Armisen and the 8G Band on Late Night with Seth Meyers and it was terrific. But who remembers that none-other-than Star Trek’s TOS’s Mr. Spock sat in on one of The Bangles’ music videos for the song Going Down to Liverpool?

The song was a cover of a Katrina and the Waves song which The Bangles recorded in 1984. According to Wikipedia (which is never wrong), Nimoy ended up in the video as a result of a college friendship between Hoffs and Nimoy’s son, Adam.

Enjoy.
