The Evolution of the LEGO Logo

LEGO was founded in 1932 by Ole Kirk Kristiansen who came up with the name by using the first two letters of each of the words “leg” and “hodt”, Danish for “play well”. Over the past 80+ years, LEGO has grown to become the world’s biggest toymaker, selling more than 19 billion bricks and other elements each year.
But the LEGO logo hasn’t remained static over all those years. This simple chart shows the logos used by the company over the years.
