Godzilla’s Roar: The Iconic Sound in 2014
April 29th, 2014Director Gareth Edwards and sound designer Erik Aadahl discuss how they worked to make Godzilla’s roar in the 2014 film duplicate the roar we all remember from the 1954 original. You can try your own hand at the Godzilla roar and share it here. We rather enjoyed Bryan Cranston’s attempt.
We’ve also got a new international trailer for the film which is incredible. Check it out here.
Godzilla is being directed by Gareth Edwards (Monsters) and is based on a screenplay written by Drew Pearce, Max Borenstein and Frank Darabont. The cast also includes Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad), Elizabeth Olsen (Oldboy), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kick-Ass 2), David Strathairn (The Bourne Legacy, Good Night and Good Luck) and Juliette Binoche (The Unbearable Lightness of Being, The English Patient, Chocolat). “An epic rebirth to Toho’s iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure pits the world’s most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity’s scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence.”
Godzilla arises from the depths yet again on May 16, 2014.
