What Does It Cost to be Captain America?

by Kenny Hoeschen

With Captain America: The Winter Soldier right around the corner, MOVIECLIPS Trailers took at look at what it would cost to be Steve Rogers, Captain America. Even with his expenses mostly paid by S.H.I.E.L.D., it’s not cheap. Beginning with his salary as a Captain in the U.S. Army during WWII and what he might have saved, the analysis then looks at the cost side of the equation, including creating the first super soldier, his Vibranium shield (with Vibranium going for $10,000 a gram) and his uniforms and gun. Of course, he’s also now employed by  S.H.I.E.L.D., which helps a bit. But with these expenses and other, the cost escalates quickly.
