Almost Home: DreamWorks Animation’s Sci-Fi Short

Almost Home is an amusing sci-fi animated short from DreamWorks Animation. It’s been seen in theaters as a lead-in to the studio’s feature film Mr. Peabody & Sherman.

The short film is adapted from the book, The True Meaning Of Smekday, by Adam Rex. Captain Smek, our hero, is voiced by none other than Steve Martin, and this film follow his adventures. Smek is the leader of a alien race known as the Boov, who are searching for a new planet to colonize. In fact, they’re looking for a new home entirely.
