The Scale of the Solar System: The Moon = 1 Pixelzoom in

We’ve seen a couple great examples recently of smart people trying to provide a means for comprehending the scale of our solar system. These images shows the scale of the planets next to one another. And both Universe Today and It’s Okay to be Smart have illustrated the scale in videos.

This interactive infographic illustrates the scale of our solar system, with the Moon represented by a single pixel. We can’t embed the entire graphic here, so visit Josh Worth’s site to see it in it’s full glory. You’ll have to scroll … and scroll to see it all (try using your arrow keys). You can also click one of the planet symbols at the top to jump right to your favorites.
