Divergent: Your Resistance Threatens the System
February 21st, 2014Divergent is set in a futuristic world where society is divided into five factions, each representing a different virtue: selflessness, bravery, intelligence, honesty, and peacefulness. Teenagers must choose the faction in which they’ll spend their entire lives, but Tris Prior makes a choice that surprises everyone. But Prior is also a Divergent, meaning she doesn’t fit into any one group.
As described by the filmmakers: “Divergent is a thrilling action-adventure set in a future world where people are divided into distinct factions based on their personalities. Tris Prior (Shailene Woodley) is warned she is Divergent and will never fit into any one group. When she discovers a conspiracy to destroy all Divergents, she must find out what makes being Divergent so dangerous before it’s too late.”
Directed by Neil Burger and starring Shailene Woodley, Kate Winslet, Miles Teller and Theo James. Divergent will be in theaters on March 21, 2014.
