Creating the Illusion of Space Flight
February 20th, 2014Joey Shanks and PBS Digital Studios put together this short video on the making of basic space flight special effects. Utilizing some of the “effects of yesteryear” including those used in the making of Space: 1999 and Star Wars, Shanks shows the basics of how those effects were created and the resulting illusions look pretty amazing.
