Todd Nauck: Speed Drawing Hulk and Wolverine

by Kenny Hoeschen

Professional comic book artist Todd Nauck posts video tutorials on drawing comic book characters. In this three-part video, he shows how he drew Wolverine and Hulk together for the A+X cover. Unlike he’s previous videos, this time he’s working with a cover on glossy stock, which effects the way he approaches the coloring.

Nauck walks through the whole process from the initial pencil-sketch, to inking and shadowing and coloring the sketch with Copic sketch markers. He also discusses how he got started in the comic book industry and, throughout the videos, answers viewers’ questions about his process and learning the skill.

Check out Todd’s full video and maybe you’ll pick up some tips for becoming a better artist.
