When Zombies Come: A Zombie Prepper Doc

by Kenny Hoeschen

We always thought we were pretty much ready for the zombie apocalypse, with boxes of Girl Scout cookies in the pantry, a slow-but-indestructible Land Cruiser in the garage, and a baseball bat we can put some nails in. But it turns out we are way behind and we’re instead going to head straight to our nearest Ace Hardware when the zombies go down.

That’s what the subjects of this short film, When the Zombies Come, have done. And, despite some of their unorthodox ideas about kids and potato guns, they seem to actually have a pretty good plan. This funny documentary was directed by Jon Hurst and premiered at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival.
