Every Mission to the Moon: Graphic

by Kenny Hoeschen
Every Mission to the Moon: Graphiczoom in

We previously shared an infographic showing every trip or mission ever taken to Mars, now we have a similar infographic (done by a different artist) showing every trip to the Moon, ever. This terrific graphic was created by Margot Trudell of OMG Space, who created the entire website as part of her graduate thesis.

The trips are categorized by whether the mission was a return mission, rover, lander, orbiter or merely a flyby. It shows every mission from the first in February, 1970, through the last manned mission to land on the lunar surface, Apollo 17, in 1972. Of course, these are just the trips we know about: we’re looking at you, Incas!
