Syfy’s Helix: New Footage Looks Terrific

Ron Moore, the creator of the Battlestar Galactica reboot, has a new series coming to Syfy beginning in less than two weeks (January 10). Syfy has released some new clips and promos for the show and it looks really good.

The action takes place at an arctic research facility, where Centers for Disease Control scientists are investigating a possible disease outbreak and have uncovered a virus that mutates those who are infected. They quickly find themselves pulled into a terrifying life-and-death struggle that holds the key to mankind’s salvation or total annihilation.

Helix stars Billy Campbell as Dr. Alan Farragut, an emotionally troubled CDC pathologist. The cast also includes Hiroyuki Sanada, Kyra Zagorsky, Mark Ghanime, Jordan Hayes, Meegwun Fairbrother, Catherine Lemieux and Neil Napier.

Helix premieres on Syfy on January 10, 2014.
