Dawn of the Planet of the Apes: First Teaser

We don’t get much in this first teaser for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. On the heels of the viral site about the simian flu and the prequel comic, this is the closest we have to new footage.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes involves a group of scientists in San Francisco struggling to stay alive in the aftermath of a plague that is wiping out humanity, while Caesar (Andy Serkis) tries to maintain dominance over his community of intelligent apes. The cast includes Jason Clarke, Judy Greer, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell and Kodi Smit-McPhee. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is the sequel to Rupert Wyatt’s revival of the sci-fi franchise Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Directing is Matt Reeves (Let Me In, Cloverfield), from a screenplay written by Mark Bomback, Scott Z. Burns, Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is scheduled for release on July 28, 2014.
