Star Trek: Renegades, Fan Film Teaser Trailer

Star Trek: Renegades is a fan-made Star Trek pilot that was successfully funded by Kickstarter and Indiegogo campaigns. Now the creative team behind the film — which is a professionally produced television pilot to be presented for a possible online series — have released the first trailer.

Renegades will be bold, edgy and a little dark. Renegades will feature a combination of familiar Star Trek faces, plus a collection of hot, new rising actors. Walter Koenig who played Mr. Chekov is part of the cast as well as other Star Trek alumni, Tim Russ and Gary Graham (Enterprise), Robert Picardo (Voyager), and Manu Intiraymi (Voyager) and many other established and rising stars.

As described by the filmmakers, “Renegades will be a departure from previous Treks — delving into the dark side of the human psyche, pushing our heroes to their limits, forcing them to carry out actions that they never would have as Starfleet officers. The rules have changed, and they realize they might be the last hope to save the Federation.”
