The Science of Doctor Who’s Sonic Screwdriver

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who, physicist Martin Archer at Head Squeeze teams up with Andy Marmery from The Royal Institution to look at the science behind the Sonic Screwdriver. Martin believes that the sonic screwdriver is so powerful because it uses invisible sound waves and the team tries to demonstrate that with a “Ruben’s tube.”
