Embers: A Kickstarter Funded Sci-Fi Film
November 21st, 2013Charles Spano and Claire Carré are looking to create a science fiction film where the world has been infected with a neurological disease that creates a double amnesia: people cannot recall past memories other than early childhood and cannot form new memories. The infected are forced to live in an endless present. The film follows the stories of five people after the epidemic: a young boy searching for a new home; two lovers who wake up and no longer recognize each other; a young man involved in chaos and violence; and an old professor who can no longer remember how to read even his own books.
Be sure to watch the mood reel below to get a better idea of the goal of the final film. A pledge of just $10 will get you behind-the-scenes access to the team’s posts, on-set pics, and sneak peaks of completed scenes. Just $25 gets you that plus a digital copy of the movie. And, if you’d like to attend the cast and crew screening, pledge $100 or more.
The team has already raise over $17,000 towards its $20,000 goal, with the funding period ending on December 4.
