Certified: A Short Film Involving Tall Tales

by Kenny Hoeschen

While we don’t normally share short films that don’t have a science fiction twist to them, this one is simply too enjoyable to leave alone. Adapted from the short story, The Open Window, by Saki, the film is set in 1950s rural America, where a postman’s first day takes a terrifying turn when a precocious young girl tells him of her family’s horrible tragedy.

This wonderful short was written and directed by Luke Asa Guidici and stars Thomas Garner as the postman, Rebecca Spicher as the young Alice, and Therese Lentz and Mrs. Sappleton.
