Gravity: A Fascinating VFX Breakdown
November 13th, 2013In this short clip, some of the VFX artists behind the breathtaking film, Gravity, walk through the composition and creation of just one scene from the film. The team from Prime Focus World step through the process of stereo conversion of the shot, describing how their View-D conversion process allows for the full integration of the VFX and conversion processes from the 2D footage to 3D.
Interestingly, one of the VFX studios that PFW worked with was Framestore, who also did illustrations and video effects for the book, The Creature Department, and the accompanying promotional animation.
