Star Wars: The Development of the Lightsaber Sound
November 12th, 2013Ben Burtt created some of the most memorable sounds in the Star Wars world, including the blasters, R2-D2’s blips and bloops, and Chewbacca’s voice. His favorite sound to create was that of the lightsaber, which was initially inspired by the Frank McQuarrie concept art for Star Wars.
