Help Fund a Museum of Science Fiction in DC
November 11th, 2013The folks behind the Museum of Science Fiction are working to raise $160,000 to open a preview location for the MSF as a first step to building a dedicated facility in Washington DC. You can help by supporting their Indiegogo campaign before December 11. The museum will house exhibits ranging from space vehicles, to sci-fi movie objects, a model of the U.S.S. Enterprise, and alien creatures.
The preview museum will measure 3,000 square feet and will house an iconic Doctor Who TARDIS police box. It will also contain floor-to-ceiling LED screens showing far away worlds from science fiction, like Star Wars Cloud City and Pandora. The preview museum will also show donors how they might contribute to the museum’s efforts.
