Fan Made Series: Star Trek Continues Moving Ahead

The terrific Star Trek fan-made series, Star Trek Continues, successfully completed its Kickstarter funding this week. The premise of the series is based on the original 5-year voyage since the original Gene Roddenberry series ended three years into the journey. Created by Grant Imahara (Mythbusters) and Christopher Doohan (son of James “Scotty” Doohan). The series stars Vic Mignogna as Captain Kirk, Todd Haberkorn as Mr. Spock, Larry Nemecek as Dr. McCoy, Chris Doohan as Mr. Scott, Kim Stinger as Lt. Uhura, and Wyatt Lenhart as Ensign Chekov. Mignogna also directs the series and is one of the writers, along with Steve Frattarola, and Jack Treviño.

With the successful Kickstarter funding, the team is set to make three original, all-new episodes.
