Robocop 2014 Sneak Peek: Good Cop, Robocop

We don’t really have any clue what’s going on in this very brief clip from the upcoming Robocop remake. Let’s just hope they don’t mess it up. They’re going to mess it up, aren’t they?

In this first official trailer for the RoboCop (2014), we see Joel Kinnaman in action as Alex Murphy/RoboCop and what we can see looks great so far. The XT-908 Aerial Drones, the ED-209 Enforcement Droid, but no reveal yet on the next generation RC-2000 droid.

In this remake of classic sci-fi film, RoboCop, by Jose Padilha, the year is 2028 and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the center of robot technology. Overseas, their drones have been used by the military for years – and it’s meant billions for OmniCorp’s bottom line. Now OmniCorp wants to bring their controversial technology to the home front, and they see a golden opportunity to do it. When Alex Murphy – a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit — is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp sees their chance for a part-man, part-robot police officer. OmniCorp envisions a RoboCop in every city and even more billions for their shareholders, but they never counted on one thing: there is still a man inside the machine pursuing justice.

Robocop (2014) enters theaters on February 7, 2014. The film is directed by Jose Padilha and stars Joel Kinnaman (The Killing) as Alex Murphy/RoboCop along with Samuel L. Jackson, Gary Oldman and Michael Keaton.
