A Graphic History of Space Travel
November 1st, 2013

Wish.co.uk created this terrific, informative infographic mapping out the progress of space travel from its beginnings with the 1957 launch of the Soviet Sputnik 1, through the rapid progression during the 1960s — leading to the successful Apollo 11 mission to the Moon — the 1970s where not very much happened, it seems. The graphic continues with the space shuttle launches in the 1980s, along with a host of new exploration satellites along with unmanned rover missions Mars and the International Space Station.
This detailed infographic also looks to the future of space travel, with the SpaceX and SpaceShipTwo private missions and more plans being pursued by Jeff Bezos.
