The Hobbit: Smaug Speaks in New Extended Trailer
October 2nd, 2013After sleeping on a giant bed of gold for centuries like a lazy gibbon, Smaug the Magnificent is awoken from his slumber by a small Hobbit going by the name of Bilbo Baggins.
In this new trailer for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug we see a lot of new footage, including a bit more of an introduction to the dragon, Smaug, the dragon guarding the vast treasure under the mountain, and Bilbo’s first encounter with him. We also get to see more of Bilbo (Martin Freeman) as he reveals to Gandalf (Ian McKellen) what he found within the goblin tunnels.
Perhaps most intriguing, we finally get to hear Smaug speak to Bilbo (voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch).
