Frost and Fire: Ray Bradbury Film Teaser

Frost and Fire is a film based on Ray Bradbury novella that appeared in his collection R is for Rocket. The film is directed by Buz Alexander.

The story: “Space travelers crash-land on a planet so savage the days burn with fire while the nights are a frozen wasteland. Fierce creatures, giant albino bats called white-wings, roam the evening sky. Tentacled lurkers capture their prey from underground and herds of reptilian flat-backs thunder across the plains. For one brief hour, at dusk and dawn, is life outside bearable – fruit and vegetable plants spring to life in just minutes before succumbing. Within this chaos, an unlikely hero, Sim, dreams of freedom. Aided by a beautiful young woman and his life-long rival, Sim defeats the tyrant Tor and frees his people forever.”

While this teaser trailer looks very interesting, as far as we can find the film was never made, but the script is available by request.
