50 Amazing Facts About the Rainforest

This incredible infographic comes from our friends at NeoMam Studios, a UK-based infographics design agency who also created the terrific infographic we featured previously, 50 Unbelievable Facts About Earth. This infographic was again made for the Dublin-based childcare and early learning group, Giraffe.

The facts included are simply incredible and remind us just what a wonder Earth’s rainforests are. We didn’t realize that a full 40% of the world’s oxygen is released by the rainforests, that a harpy eagle can weigh up to 20 pounds and carry a monkey (no word on whether one is ever seen carrying Hobbits), or that only 2% of sunlight hitting the rainforest makes it all the way down to the forest floor.
