Godzilla & Hiroshima: The Dawn of Kaiju Eiga

The Spanish producer and director Jonathan Bellés is currently creating a new documentary film that examines the connection between the Kaiju Eiga (Japanese giant monster movies) and the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The film will also explore the birth of the Kaiju Eiga genre and how the audience reacted during its early years. The film will include interviews with critics, historians and other experts in the field from Spain, France, Belgium, United States, Canada and Japan.

The film is in production, with an expected release in the Summer of 2014.
