The Altered States of America: Kickstarter Project

The graphic artists at the Chop Shop are in the process of creating an illustrated map of the United States populated with the legendary events and characters from popular science fiction, horror and fantasy. The team has some early renderings completed, but are trying to decide things like: which character should represent New York, Ghostbusters, King Kong, Cloverfield, some other character?

They are looking to Kickstarter for funding to complete the image and create a fine art five-color silkscreen print you can proudly hang on your wall. The team is also looking for suggestions for characters and locations, which you can help with via this survey.

A Kickstarter pledge of  $70 is enough to receive the final, silkscreened map and you can pledge a bit less to get a digital poster of a specific region of the U.S. instead. For the highest pledge of $370, you receive the full 36″ x 24″ map, all four regional digital prints, and 50 buttons (one for each state).
