Pacific Rim: Making of the Kaiju Parasites

by Kenny Hoeschen

Spectral Motion, the makeup and creature effects studio behind the Kaiju parasites (sometimes referred to as the “rollie pollies”), takes us behind the scenes to show what went into making those oversized, robotic, parasitic creepy-crawlies. It’s incredible to see the first steps in making the robotic skeletal structure for these creatures and, when they show the finished product you would swear the things are alive. These are the ultimate monster to prank your friends, if only we could get our hands on one!
