Elysium: New Sharlto Copley Featurette
August 5th, 2013In this latest featurette for Elysium, Director/Writer Neill Blomkamp and actors Matt Damon and Jodie Foster discuss the character of Agent Kruger (played by Sharlto Copley (The A-Team, District 9).
Elysium is set in the year 2159 in a world where the very wealthy live a life of peace on a man-made space station called Elysium that hovers above Earth and all the rest live on an overpopulated, ruined Earth. Matt Damon’s character, Max, is determined to break into Elysium, which also happens to be the most heavily guarded place in the universe. Secretary Rhodes (Jodie Foster) is tasked with protecting Elysium from nonresidents and threats like Max. With his life hanging in the balance, Max reluctantly takes on the dangerous mission – one that pits him against Secretary Rhodes and her hard-line forces – but if he succeeds, he could save not only his own life, but millions of people on Earth as well.
Elysium hits U.S. theaters on August 9.
