Snowpiercer: Animated Prequel Clip

by Kenny Hoeschen

This animated clip provides a look at the backstory of the film. The launch of the CW-7 as a solution to global warming. The device backfires and the entire Earth is covered in ice and snow as a ferocious blizzard swept across the world. The Snowpiercer train becomes the only place where the living can survive.

Snowpiercer is the upcoming post-apocalyptic film from Korean director Bong Joon-Ho (The Host). The story is set in a new ice age caused by a failed experiment to stop global warming that killed virtually all life on the planet. The sole survivors live on a train called Snowpiercer built by the Wilford corporation that is powered by a perpetual machine and never stops moving. The passengers struggle with the class system implemented on the train.

Snowpiercer is scheduled for Korean release on August 1. No release date yet for the U.S.
