Thousandth Street: Blade Runner Style Police Short

by Kenny Hoeschen

The film Thousandth Street follows a young police officer whose break is suddenly interrupted by an unexpected event which he
will have to face. After recreating the scene with the help of the high-tech imagine equipment he has at his disposal, he’s unsure how to act when presented with a situation requiring good old-fashioned street sense. We enjoyed the juxtaposition of the young officer and the older gentleman he encounters who, perhaps, doesn’t rely on new technology to such an extent. The visualization of the officer’s equipment that allows him to recreate the crime scene is particularly well done. We always enjoy seeing visions of future human-computer interfaces.

Directed by ArtFX students Alexis Amant, Jérémy Nguyen, Ghali Ouazzany, and Maxime Servoise.
