I Zombie: The World Through a Zombie’s Eyes

This engrossing short film was animated by Antoine Legendre as part of his final animation at the École des Métiers du Cinéma d’Animation (Trades School of Animated Film). The film portrays the life (can one call it the “life”?) of a zombie who rises from the dead and seeks to find his former home and family. The results are nothing less than disturbing. The story is largely told from behind the zombie’s eyes with some terrific graphical cues like the zombie’s hazy vision.

I Zombie is at once haunting and creepy while paying homage to the classic black and white zombie films of the past.
