This infographic from Buzzfeed lists the most successful action/adventure movie franchises of all time. Some of our favorite science fiction franchises fair quite well, with Star Wars falling into second place behind the James Bond movies, the Marvel universe movies at #4, the Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit movies in at #5 and the Batman movies right in at #6. Of course, many of the franchises are ongoing concerns and will continue to expand the movies in their franchise.
