Grabbers: “Stay Drunk and Stay Safe”
July 1st, 2013Grabbers is a an independent science fiction monster movie from Ireland. The film involves some bizarre octopus-like creatures that come out of the water near a small fishing village off the West coast of Ireland. The villagers discover that the alien thingys won’t attack if they have enough alcohol in their blood (the villagers, not the aliens). Starring Richard Coyle, Ruth Bradley and Russell Tovey and directed by Irish filmmaker Jon Wright (Tormented), from a script by Kevin Lehane. Based on this clip, the film looks really well done and quite funny. The film was an official selection of the Sundance Film Festival.
Grabbers opens in select theaters and will be available on cable VOD and digital outlets starting July 19.
