The Space Alphabet: A Musical Tribute
June 24th, 2013

Alexis Madrigal of The Atlantic has unearthed a wonderful old recording of 27 songs; one for each letter of the alphabet plus one Planet Song bonus. The Space Alphabet was composed by John Cacavas, a man who clearly loved the harp. This may be the best thing ever put down on vinyl. Madrigal also does us the favor of writing down some of the lyrics for each piece.
We’ve included the SoundCloud clips below. Unfortunately, Madrigal was unable to get a clean version of the album, so you’ll have to put up with some clicks and skips.
You can’t miss F is for Falling Star. Oh, the drama!
