Gatchaman: First Official Trailer

Gatchaman is a live-action version of a Japanese manga/anime series that was under development as an animated series, but never finished. The Toho Company in Japan has instead made the full movie as a live action feature. Known as Battle of the Planets in the US, here is the first official trailer for the movie and we have to admit it looks just as horribly great as we’d expect.

The film stars Tôri Matsuzaka as Ken, Gô Ayano as Condor No Joe, Ayame Gôriki as Jun The Swan, Tatsuomi Hamada as Junpei The Swallow, Ryohei Suzuki as Ryu The Owl, Gorô Kishitani and Eriko Hatsune. Gatchaman is directed by Tôya Satô (Dream Master, Kaiji: The Ultimate Gambler,”Ghost Mama Sôsasen) and will released in Japan this August. No news on a U.S. release either at the theater or disc.
