Giant Guan Yu Transformer in China

This four ton, $43,000 Guan Yu transformer sculpture stands about 32 feet tall and was made for the graduation exhibition at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in China. The sculpture was assembled from components of an old Jiefang brand vehicle, a 25-year-old military service truck employed by the People’s Liberation Army. Robo Guan Yu stands about 32 feet tall and wields a dynastic-era weapon. The transformer shows the look of Guan Yu, a respectable general well known for his great kungfu, courage and loyalty in Chinese history.
