Vacuity: A Short Science Fiction Drama
June 10th, 2013Vacuity is a short film made by Michael Matzur. In this film, we follow the struggle of astronaut Alan Brahm who is trapped in the airlock of a dying space station. With limited options and time running out, Brahm must choose survival to see his family again or sacrifice to save his crew. We’ve seen this sort of me-or-them-but-I’ve-got-a-family science fiction theme before. This one is interesting to watch as well and the filmmakers did a great job staging it in a single room (the airlock) and simulating a futuristic user interface on the space station’s computer.
