Men in Suits: Performing Through the Pain Clip

by Kenny Hoeschen

Men in Suits is a documentary about the actors who wear creature suits in film and on television. Wyrd Studios has put together an interesting, informative set of interviews with actors who have brought these creations to life; people like Haruo Nakajima (who played Godzilla and Ultraman), Doug Jones (Hellboy and Pan’s Labyrinth), Bobby Clark (the Gorn Captain in Star Trek who famously battled Captain Kirk) and even Van Snowden, who played H.R. Pufnstuf and was also in Sigmund and the Sea Monsters.

We now have a new clip from the documentary discussing the pain and stamina that must be pushed through in order to make these monster films. Featuring Tom Woodruff Jr. (The Monster Squad, Mortal Combat), Arturo Gil (Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey), Brian Steele (Underworld, Hellboy), Doug Jones (Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer), Guillermo Del Toro (The Devil’s Backbone), and Haruo Nakajima (Rodan).

You can purchase the full documentary DVD from Amazon.
