Amazing Flying U.S.S. Enterprise Scale Model

YouTube member TheMiro59 built this flying model of the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D, the iconic star ship of the captain Jean-Luc Picard in Star Trek  The Next Generation. The model is a fully functional RC model with the illumination by super bright LEDs and the optic fibers. This video walks through motivation, feasibility study, starship production, first test flights, the lighting upgrades, inspection, the inaugural flight of the new starship. The thing actually flies pretty well!

This build is really well done and the addition of the LED and fiber optic lighting is really nice. It seems it was damaged during the flights (actually, more likely during the crashes) but we hope he continues working on these models and we’re looking forward to seeing more.
