LEGO Life-Size Hobbit Bag End
May 30th, 2013

We recently saw LEGO build and present the largest LEGO model ever created: a full-size Star Wars X-Wing Starfighter. The X-Wing required 17,000 hours and 5 million LEGO bricks. But we should not forget the Hobbit-themed LEGO creation that LEGO built just last year: a life-sized model of Bilbo Baggins’s (and later Frodo’s) home, Bag End. This model is complete with Bilbo greeting us at the door and Gandalf, Bombur, and Gimli enjoying dinner courtesy of Mr. Baggins. This model required merely 2 million bricks and 3,000 hours to complete.
