May 26th, 2013Future Inc. is a short film, written by Andrew Ellard and directed by Martin Stirling, about a young woman, Rose, who becomes a member of a new social network that allows users to chat with people from the future. She begins to make a real connection with one of her future friends and decides she must do something to meet him. The film was the winner of last year’s Sci-Fi London 48 Hour Film Challenge.
Here’s how the filmmakers’ describe the film’s story: “In the mid-21st century offices are dull, health and safety seminars are boring and the meek are downtrodden by the bitchy. In other words: nothing’s changed…until the arrival of a social network which connects users to friends from the far future. With it, awkward office worker Rose finds a new lease on life…”
