Pacific Rim Official Trailer Released
May 2nd, 2013It’s monsters versus robots in the official trailer for Guillermo del Toro’s action-packed science fiction flick, Pacific Rim. del Toro previously brought us Hellboy and Pan’s Labyrinth. The film’s story follows a washed up former pilot (Charlie Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Rinko Kikuchi), who are teamed to operate of a massive robot designed to fight monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju. When legions of Kaiju start rising from the sea, a war begins that will take millions of lives and consume humanity’s resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon is devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge.
In theaters July 12.
