Project Kronos: The Probe Makes Contact

by Kenny Hoeschen

Project Kronos, written and directed by Hasraf Dulull, is a documentary about a hypothetical interstellar space exploration project. (We previewed the film here.) In the film, scientists have developed a technology allowing a deep space probe to capture images and memories during a 100-year journey from Earth. In order to capture that vast amount of data, the scientists choose to use the most powerful supercomputer known: a living human brain. The space probe begins transmitting back data and scientists on Earth discover an anomaly in the data that appears to be some sort of attempt at communication.
