Lex Laser Saves the Galaxy, Again
April 19th, 2013Technical director at the MIT Game Lab, Andrew Grant, introduces a new Kickstarter project, Lex Laser Saves the Galaxy, Again, a game designed primarily for parents of small children. The game allows the player to put the game down at any moment and pick it up days or weeks later. Lex Laser is an asteroid miner and you play the role of Lex Laser’s combat implant. The development team is made up mostly of MIT Game Lab alumnae who have had experience in the trade. Click through to the Kickstarter project site for gameplay footage.
A pledge of $20 or more gets you a digital download of the game when it’s completed (expected in May 2014). For $95 or more your name will be included in the random database of game extras, such as a refugee, wage-slave, soldier, or corpse. At the top level pledge of $1,900, you get to work with the artists to define and create a variation of the Lex Laser character!
The Kickstarter funding window ends May 10.
