Defiance: A Unique TV Series + Game

Defiance is an epic drama that unfolds as both an original series and an open world online game. The story is set in the near future where aliens and humans live side-by-side. Based in a small frontier town, Defiance, both the humans and the aliens must stand together against forces that threaten their existence. The dual media of TV and video games is the product of a unique collaboration between Syfy and Trion Worlds. While the story unfolds in the television series, the players in the online game will see the results and also influence the show. In other words,the events in the game’s virtual world will affect what appears on the TV show and what happens on the series will affect what appears on the game.

The game will launch on the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 on April 1 (available for pre-order now) and Defiance premiers on Syfy in the U.S. on April 15. The game looks really good based on the previews we’ve seen and we’ll definitely be tuning in on April 15 to see the premiere episode of the show.
